TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Scope of These Terms

These Terms govern your access to and use of:

  • Public information provided by the Town of Limmora, including but not limited to: announcements, notices, schedules, weather forecasts, and employment postings.
  • Limited descriptive materials relating to the Grand Archive and its operations.
  • Any interactive forms, including but not limited to Recurrence Reports, employment applications, and citizen submissions.

These Terms do not govern the internal operations of the Grand Archive, intra-archivist protocols, or the private directives of the Curator, which remain subject to separate, restricted codes.

2. Eligibility and Identity

2.1 Residents

This Site is intended primarily for residents of Limmora, as recognized by the Department of Records & Preservation (“the Department”), including:

  • Current residents,
  • Lapsed residents whose entries remain in good standing, and
  • Instances of residents arising from properly documented recurrences.

By using this Site, you affirm that you are:

  • A resident of Limmora; or
  • Acting on behalf of a resident; or
  • Temporarily recognized as an observer for training, archival, or Curatorial purposes.

2.2 Non-Resident Observers

If you are accessing this Site from outside Vestige County, beyond the physical boundaries of Limmora, or from an external context (including but not limited to channels, broadcasts, or serial recordings):

  • You are classified as a Non-Resident Observer.
  • You acknowledge that access is unusual and not strictly encouraged.
  • You agree not to interfere with the perceived continuity of Limmora or its citizens.

Non-Resident Observers may be monitored for research and alignment purposes. This monitoring is administrative in nature and does not constitute “surveillance” in any sense that requires your informed consent, though we appreciate your cooperation.

3. Description of Service

The LMIN provides, as resources permit:

  • General information about Limmora and its districts;
  • Metro news, notices, and civic updates;
  • Weather and stability advisories;
  • Employment postings, including roles related to records management and archival support;
  • Public-facing summaries of the Grand Archive’s functions.

All content is provided on an “as-is, as-remembered” basis.

LMIN is maintained by the Department of Records & Preservation, under the ceremonial oversight of the Office of the Curator, who bears ultimate responsibility for the integrity of the Town.

4. Accuracy, Memory, and Record Alignment

4.1 Official Records

While the Town endeavors to maintain accurate, timely information, discrepancies may occur between:

  • Official records stored in the Grand Archive, and
  • Individual recollections, impressions, or story-versions held by residents and observers.

In the event of a conflict, the following hierarchy applies:

  • The Grand Archive’s most recent aligned record,
  • Verified Recurrence Reports processed by authorized archivists,
  • Publicly accessible versions of events as displayed on this Site,
  • Personal memory.

You understand and agree that your personal recollection may be subject to review and, if necessary, gentle recalibration in service of communal coherence.

4.2 Recurrence Reports

If you encounter:

  • A day that repeats,
  • An event remembered by you but not by others,
  • An absence where a person, place, or period should be,

you are encouraged (or, in some districts, required) to submit an Unregistered Recurrence Report via the appropriate form.

By submitting such a Report, you consent to:

  • The collection and archival of your description,
  • Comparative analysis against existing records, and
  • Possible administrative interventions intended to protect narrative stability.

5. User Conduct

By using this Site, you agree not to:

  • Tamper with, undermine, or attempt to overwrite any public record presented here.
  • Access areas of the Site or Archive not intended for public use, including but not limited to:
    • Restricted stacks (e.g., “Stack 0”),
    • Internal indexing consoles,
    • Non-public portals or experimental endpoints.
  • Impersonate another resident, archivist, or official for the purpose of altering or avoiding documentation.
  • Introduce content or code that may interfere with the Site’s function, stability indices, or the coherent experience of other users.
  • Publicly disclose internal archivist procedures, if you have been entrusted with such knowledge.

Violations may result in:

  • Temporary or permanent restriction of access,
  • Administrative redaction of certain events from your personal record, and/or
  • Reassignment to a lower-impact narrative.

6. Archivist-Specific Provisions

Residents employed or volunteering as Archivists, Junior Archivists, Preservation Specialists, or in similar roles may be granted enhanced access to certain tools and datasets.

If you are such a person:

  • You remain bound by these public Terms when using the Site;
  • You are additionally bound by the Archivist’s Oath and internal procedural codes, which govern:
    • Handling of anomalies and recurrences,
    • Interaction with the Curator’s directives,
    • Protection of story-fragments and external narratives.

Breaches of archivist protocols will be addressed internally and may not be visible to the general public. The Town reserves the right to retroactively adjust the record of your participation.

7. The Grand Archive and the Curator

The Grand Archive is recognized as:

  • The primary repository of records, stories, municipal history, and correlations of intersection with Limmora.
  • A secure facility managed by archivists working under the guidance of the Curator.

The Curator is understood, for the purposes of these Terms, as:

  • The chief official responsible for oversight of records,
  • A figure appointed to ensure proper maintenance, shelving, and, when necessary, retirement.

The Curator’s broader activities beyond the Town’s awareness are considered ceremonial, conceptual, or irrelevant to day-to-day civic life, and therefore are not described here.

No provision in these Terms shall be interpreted as granting you:

  • Personal audience with the Curator,
  • Authority to review or modify Curatorial decisions, or
  • Direct control over external worlds or entities contiguous with Limmora.

8. Data, Cookies, and Traces

The Site may collect limited technical information, including but not limited to:

  • Access times and dates,
  • Pages visited,
  • Any forms you submit, including Recurrence Reports and applications.

Such information is used to:

  • Maintain service quality,
  • Diagnose anomalies and repeat visits from the same or similar selves,
  • Assist in determining whether an event has occurred once, twice, or multiple times.

“Cookies” may be used to:

  • Remember your preferences,
  • Help the Site recognize recurring visitors,
  • Leave small, harmless crumbs along your path that archivists may later follow.

By continuing to use this Site, you consent to the storage and archival of these traces in accordance with Limmora’s internal practices, which may or may not correspond with external data protection regimes you are familiar with.

11. Termination and Redaction

The Town may, at its discretion:

  • Restrict or terminate your access to the Site;
  • Redact or anonymize your submissions;
  • Move your record from active to archival status;
  • In rare cases, forget you in the public layer while retaining a trace in the Grand Archive.

You may request certain corrections or removals by contacting the Department of Records. However, all such requests are subject to:

  • Verification of identity,
  • Narrative integrity checks, and
  • The Curator’s silent assent.

There is no guarantee that granted redactions will propagate to all versions of you.

12. Contact

Questions regarding these Terms may be directed to:

Department of Records & Preservation

For matters concerning recurrences, missing time, or the sensation that you should not exist yet do:

Please complete an Unregistered Recurrence Report via the appropriate form on this Site.
